These critical components provide for extra bracing, furring, backing, and sound-dampening requirements. This furring channel, often referred to as "Hat" channel due to its shape, provides 7/8" of furring depth for attachment of substrates. Manufactured with a knurled face for easier screw penetration. Produced from high quality mill certified prime steel, galvanized by the hot-dipped process. 25 mil gauge thickness.
